Helllllooooo London.
We love London. Everywhere you look there is 100's of years of history. The people are friendly with fantastic accents.
Because of a storm front coming in that was definitely going to impact the trains, we left the east coast and headed a day early into the city of London.
Christmas Eve is such a magical time back home with the snow, family, friends and the anticipation of the coming events. This year is quite different for us. Never have we been away, both, from our friends and family over the holidays. We had to make Christmas special for us.
Shopping therapy always works for me. So off to Harrod's we went.
Crowds would not scare us off and crowds there were.
The food courts are my favourite. Every different kind of item you could want is available there....for a price.
But some weren't so bad. Stuffed lobsters ready to serve; cost only 20 pounds.
Putting together a picnic for us to take back to our hotel began with the anitpasti gal. Pick a number and wait your turn. Our picnic consisted of Milano sausage, Wild Boar sausage, grapes, Harrod's jam, cheese scones and raison scones, chocolates, crackers, olives, etc.
Yummy.
Yummy.
I am sure that everyone is aware that the owner of Harrod's, son, Dodi Fayad was killed along with our beautiful Princess Diana in a car accident in Paris a number of years ago.
There is a memorial on the lower level of Harrod's.
It never stops being sad to me.
Christmas lights at Harrod's.
Wow!!!
