Itinerary November 2013-April 2014

Here is the itinerary of our trip.  If anyone is interested in joining us in our travels, let us know and we can provide you with the information to share in the experience.  We can provide flight and accomodation information.

  • November 4th flying to Munich, Germany 
  • November 5th arriving Munich at 12:05 pm 
  • November 5th-9th we are in Salzburg, Austria
  • November 9th-23rd we are living in Sopron, Hungary
  • November 23rd-27th travelling to Vienna, Austria
  • November 27th-29th back in Munich.
  • November 29th-30th flying to Piraeus, Greece
  • November 30th-December 21st Holland America Rotterdam IV Cruise
  • Ports of Call are Istanbul, Dikili, Kusadasi, Marmaris, all in Turkey; Iraklion, Crete (Greece); Valletta, Malta;  Catania, Sicily;  Naples & Citvitavecchia, Italy;  Cartagena, Spain;  Gibraltar, England;  Cadiz, Spain;  Lisbon & Leixoes (Porto), Portugal;  departing at Harwich, England.
  • This is already 10,000km of travel.
  • December 21st-24th in Ipswich, England
  • December 24th-27th spending Christmas in London, England
  • December 27th-29th travelling to York, England
  • December 29th-January 31st we are living in Edinburgh, Scotland.  To immerse in the Scottish culture.
  • January 31st-February 6th we arrive in Belfast, Ireland.
  • February 6th-12th travelling and visiting London Derry, Ireland
  • February 12th-18th enjoying Galway, Ireland
  • February 18th-20th a quick visit to Kilronan, on the Aran Island of Inishmore
  • February 20th-28th we are living in Dublin, Ireland
  • February 28th-March 1st arriving Holyhead, Wales
  • March 1st-15th living in Conwy, Wales
  • March 15th-22nd travelling to Caernarfon, Wales
  • March 22nd-25th busing to Stratford-Upon-Avon, England
  • March 25th-31st off to Bath, England
  • March 31st-April 3rd to Windsor, England
  • April 3rd-April 10th flying and staying in Reykjavik, Iceland
  • Arrival back to Toronto, Canada April 10th, 2014

    Wow - that is pretty ambitious. What a marvelous itinerary! A chance of a lifetime. Enjoy every moment.

    1. Thanks for your comments. It is ambitious and we are excited and terrified all at the same day. But as you would understand, I feel the need to do something. After Dad passed, I was 'wiped out.' I need to regain my 'happy place.' Travelling is what does it for me and Deb.
      If you thought you could join us for any part of this trip, let me know. We travel cheaply so we can see more. Hostels, B&Bs. Take care. Angela
