Hungarian Architecture

"Travel and change of place impart new vigour to the mind."- Seneca

As you may realize by now, we love everything about visiting a new place.  I look at all things that surround us when strolling through the streets.  I love old and new buildings.  The more 'character' it has the better.  Not rundown but aged.
Below are different buildings that we walk by almost every day.
Just neat to see the different colours used and designs.

The Petofi Szinhaz building (Petofi Theatre) built in 1841.

The Hungarian Cultural Building.
There is a great bakery shop to the left of the building.  Yummo.

A random house in the neighbour that we stroll by on our way into the city.  Love the colour, which seems very popular and the shapes.

This is the post office.  I have been in and mailed a few postcards.  No Hungarian needed.
It's easy.
I give a big smile to the counter person.  I say "international Canada" and hold up my fingers depending how many stamps I require.
They ask 'airmail?"
I say yes sometimes I say no.
They hand them to me.  I see how much by the receipt.  Payment taken.
Big smile and good-bye and thank you in Hungarian.

This baby blue colour, where my friend the kitty lives, is also a popular choice in this city for businesses and residential homes.

LOVE this home.  It reminds me of a castle.  Need I say more?

Located on the main street, this baby blue building is our grocery store.

Very decorated with these tangerines and pale yellow colours.  Right next door to our grocery store building.  Quiet a colourful street.

If you painted some of our homes in Canada these colours it may appear too much, but here it is perfectly appropriate and a visual pleasure.
A joy to walk by each day.
