Off The Beaten Path

"I'm a wandering gypsy."- Lady Gaga

Wandering the back streets because we have the time and of course because we can.  You never know where or when you might find some hidden treasures that you wouldn't know about, if you always follow the same path.

A neat car we came upon on one of the back streets in our neighbourhood.  Haven't seen one of these for awhile?

Peonies still in bloom in Sopron.

I loved this brilliant yellow daisy type flower amongst the dark green foliage.

A tourist quietly enjoying the beautiful green space in the city.
Hey....that's me.  Paparazzi found me again!

We have passed this statue many times on our walks through town.  It is the 'Fountain of Fidelity', one female and two male figures with three dates: 1277 (Sopron achieved the title of a free royal town), 1921 (referendum in Sopron), and 1989 (the fall of the iron curtain).

A rose towards the end of it's brilliance.

High school aged kids kept disappearing through a gate in the Old town.  We decided to follow and see where they all were going?  This neat fountain (it is off-season and the water is emptied) was at the end of the short cut.  The kids (crossing the street in the picture) were heading back to school which is another block down the road.

Hmmmm....any guesses on this sign?
