Random act of kindness
While we are living here, we have been taking advantage of the kitchen facilities in our apartment and making dinners. Stopping by the SPAR grocery store each day we are in town to purchase a few groceries. We have managed to have the same grocery teller for each visit. Her english is still better than my Hungarian.....except for today. Big line ups today. Busy grocery store. When we went to pay for our purchase, she tried to help us with the coinages to get the exact amounts. It seemed she was asking us for more coins, but we didn't have anymore coins only bigger bills. We were at a standstill until the gentleman behind us gave her the coin we needed.
A big 'koszonom' (thank you in Hungarian) to him including BIG smiles from us....and 'kozonom' to our wee gal for humoring two Canucks who are 'Lost in Translation' a long way from home.
