"A room with a view"- author unknown
Our home away from home was a small B&B we found through Rick Steves. Family run is the places that he supports and so do we, when we can.
Easy...easy...easy..to get here and so central to everything.
We arrived by train from Hungary at the Westbahnhof in Vienna. Tired were we, so we hopped in a cab, but the u-bahn or subway, was on the lower floor of the train station. One stop and we would have been almost right outside the door of Hargita's.

It was one of the beautiful, big Victorian looking buildings from the outside and then we had to snake our way through to find Hargita's.
First through the green doors above.
Next down this hallway....pictured below.
Following the signs, we headed up this corridor. (below)
Oh oh...look waaaay up? Thank God Debbie's wee legs were working. There is no elevator here.
Keeping heading up Debbie.....
A Christmas decorated door was the entrance into the Pension.
Yippee...we have arrived in Vienna.
Our room is tiny but very sufficient. Two warm beds, a sink, a closet, a little dining table and a WC down the hall. Shower is just around another little corner.
The view is spectacular outside the window (you can tell by Deb's face at the beginning to this post).....and we are happy.
We opted for the additional breakfast, 5 Euros which is a deal. Boiled eggs, sliced cheese, assortment of meats, homemade bread, coffee, orange juice, and lots of pate, jams, and spreadable cheeses. Yummo.
Decorated for Christmas...THAT I love!
We would recommend this B&B to everyone, except if climbing stairs is a problem.
